Chief of Staff

Role: Chief of Staff

Work directly with Casco’s founders to turn the company’s biggest priorities into measurable execution. You will sit at the center of the organization, connecting strategy to delivery across strategic operations, recruiting, and company-building.

Responsibilities

Strategic Operations

• Translate company priorities into plans, owners, milestones, and decisions
• Build and run the operating cadence (planning, leadership meetings, cross-functional follow-through)
• Create agendas, decision memos, and action tracking to ensure meetings produce outcomes
• Produce dashboards and reporting on performance, priorities, and risks
• Drive cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution and remove blockers
• Identify bottlenecks and unclear ownership; drive practical solutions to completion
• Create lightweight processes, documentation, and automations as the company scales
• Lead high-priority projects that don’t fit neatly inside one function

Company Building

• Own recruiting operations from outreach and interview coordination through closing and onboarding
• Build and improve onboarding so new hires become effective quickly
• Strengthen internal communication, team rituals, and planning practices
• Help define and reinforce culture, standards, and ways of working
• Plan team meetings and offsites to improve alignment and connection
• Represent founders with candidates, advisors, partners, and the security community
• Act as a force multiplier wherever the company needs support

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years in a high-ownership environment (e.g., early-stage startup, consulting, investment banking, business operations, program management, or Chief of Staff)
• High agency and ability to figure out and drive what needs to happen to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Analytical judgment to structure ambiguous problems
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail across multiple fast-moving workstreams
• High EQ, low ego, and good judgment to earn trust
• Comfort using AI and automation tools to research, build, and operate faster
• Genuine interest in AI and cybersecurity, and building an early-stage company
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco
