About the role

Role: Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO reports directly to the CEO and acts as the strategic integrator across the leadership team—bridging vision and day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand CEO execution capacity (force multiplier): enable the CEO to move faster and have higher impact.
  • Synthesis & decision readiness: translate complex operational data, business updates, and pilot results into executive-level briefings.
  • Internal liaison: craft and distribute CEO messaging for company-wide alignment (e.g., All Hands communications, commercial updates).
  • Execution proxy (as needed): lead cross-functional alignment, unblock priorities, and ensure decisions are executed without constant CEO oversight.
  • Lead high-stakes special projects: own mission-critical, cross-functional initiatives requiring a neutral senior leader.
  • Strategic operations & governance: design the company’s operating rhythm, decision frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Operating cadence: facilitate rhythms such as board prep, leadership offsites, and recurring C-team meetings.
  • Codify decision-making: create repeatable methods for how decisions are made, documented, and communicated.
  • Metrics maturity: partner with Data and other teams to turn business questions into dashboards and a “single source of truth.”
  • Organizational diplomacy: identify and resolve miscommunications and conflicts between leadership and the broader org.
  • Strategy execution & accountability: own the process for North Star metrics and lead AI adoption company-wide.
  • Goal-setting lifecycle: lead the annual goal-setting process (trailing text cut off in posting).

Requirements / Qualifications (Implied)

  • Exceptional leadership ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proven experience driving cross-functional execution and owning strategic operations.
  • Ability to build governance, decision frameworks, and an operating cadence.

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves (Implied)

  • Experience with metrics/OKRs and dashboard-driven management.
  • Experience supporting data-informed decision-making and/or AI adoption initiatives.
  • Background leading special projects in fast-growing environments.
