Cable Jointer

Role Overview

Cable Jointer (11kV to 33kV) in Oxfordshire (OX18). You will be responsible for the quality and compliance of cable jointing workmanship, electrical safety management, and coordinating safe work on projects for others on site.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Cable Jointer in compliance with Authorisation Procedures and the Electricity Supply Industry.
• Perform Electrical Safety Management for projects made safe for others to work upon, aiming to meet Asset Owner standards.
• Build strong working relationships with peers and customers across private and public network project businesses.
• Deliver cable jointing and associated works to the highest Safety Standards.
• Ensure site safety and work quality, and compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Support customer satisfaction via compliant project delivery and continuous improvement using Ipsum processes.
• Manage programmed works to meet quality, performance, safety, and cost expectations.
• Resolve site issues to full project completion, acting as an interface between customers, staff, and service providers.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with a LV/HV Jointer qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong, current knowledge of HV & LV electrical jointing techniques for 11kV to 33kV.
• Solid understanding of statutory requirements, legislation, and technical advances.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practice and Risk Assessment processes.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Must have CTC Clearance and a UK Driving Licence.

• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and lead safety/quality compliance across site interfaces.
