Role Overview
C++ Software Engineer (Remote, US) — Freelance, fully remote with flexible hours. You will review production-grade code and evaluate AI-generated solutions across multiple programming languages, while helping define engineering standards and improve AI training data.
Responsibilities
- Code Quality Assessment: Review AI-generated full-stack code for production readiness
- Evaluate maintainability, scalability, and real-world engineering standards
- Compare and rank solutions across multiple languages
- Technical Training & Feedback
- Create/answer questions on software engineering best practices
- Document debugging strategies and version control workflows
- Provide expert feedback on collaborative coding practices
- AI Model Improvement
- Assess code quality across full-stack scenarios
- Evaluate Git workflows (branching, merging)
- Generate training data for advanced coding AI capabilities
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Proficiency in 2+ languages among: JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, C++
- Production software building/shipping experience
- Strong Git knowledge (branching/merging/collaboration)
- Excellent technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Backend engineering and server-side scaling experience
- TDD experience with PyTest/JUnit/Mocha
- Ability to author technical specifications and API contracts
- Experience with code review, complex debugging, and analysis of large codebases
- Startup founding/early employee experience
