Business Intelligence Engineering Manager

Role Overview

Lead and optimize EverCommerce’s Business Intelligence (BI) engineering team to enable data-driven decision-making. You will manage and mentor BI engineers, define and execute the BI strategy, and ensure high-quality, accurate data across BI projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of BI engineers; foster collaboration and professional growth
• Develop and implement BI strategy aligned to business objectives
• Oversee BI project delivery, including planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure on-time and within-budget completion
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting and analytics outputs
• Improve data analysis and reporting capabilities through continuous iteration

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related; Master’s preferred
• Experience: 6+ years in BI engineering (or related), including 2+ years in a managerial/team lead role
• Technical skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling
• Analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
• Project management: Experience using Agile or Scrum
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership: Proven track record mentoring and leading teams

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
