About the role
Role Overview
The (Senior) Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is a key technical contributor within the Data Analytics function of Samsara’s Support Operations team. You will use strong querying, data structuring, and visualization skills to build AI-enriched dashboards and drive operational improvements across the Support organization.
Responsibilities
- Data structuring & optimization: Use SQL (and optionally another language of choice such as Python) to shape, structure, and optimize datasets for analysis.
- Dashboarding: Design, build, and maintain scalable BI solutions, complex dashboards, and summary visualizations.
- Actionable analysis: Perform exploratory analyses by integrating and optimizing data from multiple sources to assess Support organization health and identify improvement opportunities.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Lead meetings with technical and non-technical leaders to gather requirements, align on dashboard needs, and address key business challenges.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- Hands-on Tableau experience designing and managing dashboards.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.
- Proficiency in data visualization and manipulation and dashboard development.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent coursework.
- Collaborative, cross-functional problem-solving mindset.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with AI-enriched dashboards and operational analytics in fast-moving environments.
Other Notes
- Remote position (Monday–Friday).
- Must be able to work on a W2 (no C2C or H1 transfer).
