About the role
Role: Business Development Manager (North America)
Reporting to the Sales Director for the North America region, you will lead QIMA’s expansion in North America and drive new business growth against ambitious sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Forge connections: Prospect and uncover leads using methods such as cold calling and networking at industry events.
- Build and own a client portfolio: Serve a range of import/export businesses, from electronics to apparel and furniture.
- Cultivate partnerships: Identify prospects, engage decision-makers, and close deals with a smooth handoff from lead to customer.
- Drive growth with existing clients: Act as a trusted advisor, promote additional services, and maximize usage of QIMA’s online dashboard and tools.
- Client engagement & support: Maintain relationships across North America, ensuring effective collaboration and customer support aligned with Client Passion.
Requirements
- B2B sales experience (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Native English proficiency and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, build a personal client base, and achieve results.
- Knowledge of the product testing/inspection sector and an understanding of global trade dynamics.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate cultural contexts.
- Excellent self-management, with the ability to organize and prioritize independently.
Compensation
- Base salary: $47K–$57K (based on qualifications/experience)
- + uncapped commissions
