About the role

Role Overview

Business Development Manager at GoodLeap focused on onboarding new Home Improvement Contractors as partners.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and sign prospective GoodLeap partners
  • Source new partnership opportunities via:
    • Inbound lead follow-up
    • Outbound cold calls and emails
  • Coordinate partner onboarding and handoff to the outside sales team for accounts over $2M/year
  • Develop deep product knowledge and connect customer needs with GoodLeap financing products/software
  • Partner with Business Development Directors to drive partner success and growth
  • Provide business intelligence–driven guidance to assigned partners
  • Innovate sales processes, pitches, and approaches; provide feedback to improve initiatives
  • Clearly explain and position financial products and legal agreements
  • Work with the Executive team to create and improve programs

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience selling to home improvement (HI) contractors and/or distributors
  • Experience selling through HI contractors selling to homeowners using financing to close deals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across organizational levels (including executive leadership)
  • Ability to craft and deliver client proposals, persuasive presentations, and outreach materials
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing effectively
  • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail

Compensation

  • $60,000–$100,000 per year
