Role Overview

Business Development Manager – Flavors (Remote, US)

Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to drive growth. The role is centered on early-stage pipeline development, market/customer research, CRM hygiene, and prospect engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and prioritize potential customers and emerging trends.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity (leads, contacts, and prospect activity) and ensure accurate records.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities aligned with strategic goals and product capabilities.
  • Qualify inbound marketing leads by reaching out via email and phone to secure early sales meetings.
  • Support Sr. Business Development Managers and Sales Leadership with early-stage opportunity development and handoff.
  • Build prospecting lists and collaborate with marketing on targeted campaign execution.
  • Create briefs, meeting prep materials, and summaries for planning and prospective engagement.
  • Track and report KPIs such as outreach activity, lead conversion, and CRM compliance.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in business development, lead generation, sales operations, or a related role in the flavors industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to connect with new people.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, plus internal project tools.
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000 – $200,000 base salary + sales incentive program.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), company holidays, PTO, sick time, and life & disability insurance.
