About the role
Role Overview
Business Analyst / Scrum Master (Remote) responsible for bridging business and technology, translating system and process needs into actionable work, and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements (program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system controls).
- Provide technical/functional expertise to identify, evaluate, develop, and support systems based on business processes and workflows.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and promote collaboration; remove impediments and guide team self-organization.
- Coach the Scrum team on implementing Scrum framework and Agile best practices.
- Create/maintain cost, project schedules, and performance metrics; track risks in Jira and help mitigate them.
- Support backlog management and sprint planning/reviews/demos; align communication with multiple Product Owners.
- Apply strong project management and data analysis skills to analyze business and technical processes and define new/modified information processing systems.
- Validate and assist in testing application functionality against acceptance criteria.
- Act as an interface between solution architects/developers and stakeholders/users to ensure solution designs meet stakeholder needs.
- Contribute to training materials and assist with presenting them to the team.
Requirements
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ability to analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flows.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Suitability of Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience; 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for education.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jira for product backlog, sprint backlog, sprint ceremonies, and solution workflow.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint.
- Certified Scrum Master.
