The Business Analyst will serve as the HubSpot Product Owner for the organization’s HubSpot ecosystem. Responsibilities
Product ownership & strategy
- Own the HubSpot product roadmap and vision for sales usage optimization.
- Define and prioritize the HubSpot backlog based on business value, strategic alignment, and available resources.
- Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and communicate HubSpot capabilities/limitations.
- Use data to drive decisions and ensure HubSpot usage supports company-wide KPIs.
Change management & triage
- Establish and manage a formal change request process for HubSpot modifications.
- Triage requests using impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Maintain a change request log with prioritization criteria and status tracking.
- Perform impact analysis across integrated systems, workflows, and dependencies.
Planning & documentation
- Create implementation plans for approved changes (timelines, resources, risk mitigation).
- Maintain documentation for HubSpot workflows, automations, and custom processes.
- Document SOPs for common HubSpot operations and troubleshooting.
- Maintain system architecture diagrams showing HubSpot integration points.
- Report on platform usage, adoption metrics, and ROI.
Data strategy alignment
- Ensure HubSpot configurations align with enterprise data governance policies.
- Collaborate with the data team on data quality standards and validation rules.
- Enforce naming conventions, field management protocols, and data hygiene practices.
- Monitor data flows between HubSpot and other systems for consistency and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to leverage HubSpot data for analytics and business intelligence.
Testing & quality assurance
- Develop and execute test plans for HubSpot changes prior to production deployment.
- Coordinate UAT and support sign-off processes.
- Create test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Ensure testing environments mirror production configurations.
- Track defects through resolution with vendors or internal teams as needed.
Continuous improvement
- Monitor HubSpot platform performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Stay current with HubSpot product updates, features, and best practices.
- Conduct audits of workflows, automations, and data quality.
- Facilitate training sessions and create user guides to improve adoption.
- Benchmark HubSpot usage against industry best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with HubSpot (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub and/or Service Hub).
- Strong understanding of CRM architecture, data models, and integration patterns.
- Experience with workflow automation, lead scoring, and attribution modeling.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms.
Nice-to-haves
- HubSpot certifications (Administrator, Implementation, or Solutions Partner preferred).
- Experience with business process mapping and workflow documentation.
