About the role
Role Overview
Join a prestigious global law firm as a Business Acceptance Analyst supporting the firm’s new client and matter intake workflow. You’ll collaborate with the Office of General Counsel, Conflicts Attorneys, New Business Intake, and firm leadership to help open new matters efficiently and in compliance with firm policies.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review engagement letters, conflict waiver letters, and outside counsel guidelines for new client engagements.
- Manage high-volume intake requests and communications related to business acceptance and conflicts.
- Support partner requests, revise engagement documents as needed, and ensure compliance with firm policies.
- Partner with New Business Intake, the Conflicts team, and General Counsel to support the intake process.
- Conduct legal and business research and assist with special projects.
- Help train firm personnel on engagement letter and conflict waiver drafting procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality while balancing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in conflicts, new business intake, or risk management in a mid-to-large law firm.
- Understanding of legal entities, transactional matters, and conflicts of interest principles.
- Familiarity with legal ethics / Rules of Professional Conduct and law firm risk management (preferred).
- Strong skills in analysis, organization, written communication, and client service with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a collaborative, high-volume setting.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with legal technology such as Intapp, Contract Express, iManage, Aderant, or similar tools.
