About the role
Role Overview
As a Brand Designer (Web) at WorkOS, you’ll help elevate the company’s brand presence online by creating beautiful, performant, and scalable web experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and marketers, and contribute to the evolution of WorkOS’s UI design system.
Key Missions
- Partner with other designers and the Creative Director to design scalable web experiences that are both high-quality and performant.
- Evolve and implement an up-to-date, scalable UI design system that ensures consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketers to design and maintain WorkOS’s website and digital marketing surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex product/technical concepts into clear, user-friendly visual communication.
- Design responsive, accessible experiences using modern web UX patterns.
- Support handoff and collaboration with front-end development teams (including working knowledge of HTML/CSS).
- Contribute to brand and marketing initiatives through digital design.
Requirements
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical/product ideas visually.
- Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, UX best practices, and modern web patterns.
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, plus experience using AI tools and digital design platforms.
- Excellent communication and time management in a fast-paced remote-first environment.
- Experience collaborating with developers and working within front-end frameworks or handoff processes; HTML/CSS understanding is a plus.
- Strong balance of creativity + usability; producing refined designs that work functionally.
- Ability to design a clean, minimal, technical style aligned with WorkOS’s brand.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with motion design, interaction, and web animation patterns.
- Practical front-end development experience using HTML/CSS.
- Exposure to A/B testing, analytics, or data-informed design iteration.
- Experience designing for technically complex products, SaaS platforms, or developer tools.
Experience
- 3–5+ years designing for the web, with a portfolio of high-quality website and digital projects.
