Beyond The Shell (BTS) Operations Manager

Manage operational performance across all Beyond the Shell (BTS) product lines, with a focus on procurement, inventory, capacity planning, vendor performance, and customer fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract manufacturing relationships for BTS products, including finished goods, packaging, and ingredient inventory management.
• Coordinate procurement and fulfillment by working with planning, logistics, warehousing, and customer fulfillment to ensure timely delivery.
• Procure ingredients and materials based on co-manufacturer arrangements.
• Partner with Sales & Marketing on packaging transitions, formulation changes, and product line development to grow sales and profitability.
• Support FP&A via regular analysis of BTS P&Ls.
• Lead capacity planning and budgeting with internal partners and co-man partners.
• Run quarterly business reviews with each co-man partner.
• Conduct vendor visits (x2/year) for each co-man partner.
• Evaluate alternative vendors to ensure quality, cost control, and capacity for volume growth.
• Maintain inventory at approved safety stock levels and recommend safety stock updates quarterly.
• Track and resolve purchasing issues including errors and discrepancies.
• Create and communicate repeatable performance reporting (e.g., COGS, Fill Rates, and other KPIs).
• Ensure procurement work follows established policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize supply chain cost.
• Support the Approved Supplier Program.
• Coordinate with Food Safety & Quality Assurance to ensure food safety requirements and product quality expectations are met, and to address and reduce customer/consumer complaints.
• Manage and monitor vendor performance against company requirements.
• Optimize inventory using forecast data and establish effective reorder levels.
• Operate continuously to drive process improvement.
