Baustoffprüfer (m/w/d)

Role Overview

SIERA Alliance is hiring a Baustoffprüfer (m/w/d) in Cologne to strengthen its geotechnics department at M&P Ingenieurgesellschaft Gruppe West. The role focuses on conducting and evaluating geotechnical lab and field tests and supporting expert reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and evaluate geotechnical lab and field tests to support soil mechanics evidence (e.g., sieving, static and dynamic plate load tests)
• Provide expert monitoring of earthworks, including in transport infrastructure projects, as part of internal and external monitoring under ZTV E-StB / ZTV SoB-StB
• Perform and support drilling work (e.g., small ram drilling, dynamic probing, site investigation drilling)
• Build groundwater monitoring wells
• Collect samples from environmental media (soil, water, air) and obtain material samples for decommissioning/dismantling investigations
• Contribute to expert opinions and geotechnical reports

Requirements

• Completed training as a materials tester (Baustoffprüfer), sampler, or equivalent qualification
• Ideally: Sachkunde (expert knowledge) for LAGA PN 98 and DGUV 101-004 / TRGS 524
• Relevant work experience in the above tasks
• Confident presence on construction sites and in customer support
• Safe handling of common MS Office tools
• Project- and goal-oriented working style
• Team player with strong communication skills and interest in creative problem-solving
• Valid driver’s license class B
