About the role
Role Overview
Teambridge is hiring a Senior/Lead Backend Software Engineer to deliver backend features end-to-end and drive scalable, high-quality engineering. The role values generalist thinking, strong technical ownership, and the ability to ship quickly through ambiguity.
How You’ll Work
- Move fast with ambiguity; scope and unblock your own work.
- Collaborate directly with founders, product, and customer-facing teams.
- Prefer shipping a solid Phase 1 and iterating over extended polish cycles.
- Use AI coding tools heavily across the stack.
Responsibilities
- Deliver features end-to-end: backend + infrastructure, and the frontend skeleton needed to make work meaningful.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and sales to clarify requirements and ship solutions.
- Lead tradeoff discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to reduce ambiguity.
- Write high-quality, extensible, scalable code.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain a high engineering bar.
- Contribute to architecture reviews and design decisions.
- Share knowledge, promote best practices, and support team growth via feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent).
Location / Remote Policy
- Based in San Francisco.
- Bay Area residents: in-office 3x/week (SoMa).
- Open to fully remote hires within the US (3-day expectation only applies if local to the Bay Area).
