About the role

Role Overview

Teambridge is hiring a Senior/Lead Backend Software Engineer to deliver backend features end-to-end and drive scalable, high-quality engineering. The role values generalist thinking, strong technical ownership, and the ability to ship quickly through ambiguity.

How You’ll Work

  • Move fast with ambiguity; scope and unblock your own work.
  • Collaborate directly with founders, product, and customer-facing teams.
  • Prefer shipping a solid Phase 1 and iterating over extended polish cycles.
  • Use AI coding tools heavily across the stack.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver features end-to-end: backend + infrastructure, and the frontend skeleton needed to make work meaningful.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and sales to clarify requirements and ship solutions.
  • Lead tradeoff discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to reduce ambiguity.
  • Write high-quality, extensible, scalable code.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain a high engineering bar.
  • Contribute to architecture reviews and design decisions.
  • Share knowledge, promote best practices, and support team growth via feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent).

Location / Remote Policy

  • Based in San Francisco.
  • Bay Area residents: in-office 3x/week (SoMa).
  • Open to fully remote hires within the US (3-day expectation only applies if local to the Bay Area).
