Backend Software Engineer

Role Overview

Backend Software Engineer working on mission-critical, high-volume e-commerce/enterprise platforms. You’ll design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Implement new features, enhancements, and defect fixes in distributed backend applications
• Build and maintain automated unit and integration tests
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Investigate and troubleshoot production issues related to application behavior and data processing
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of backend services

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend software development with Java
• Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Experience with distributed or event-driven applications, including messaging/event-streaming (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
• Strong automated testing skills (unit and integration testing, e.g., JUnit)
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (including schema changes/data migrations)
