About the role

Backend Software Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain backend services for a high-volume e-commerce and enterprise technology platform.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Implement new features, enhancements, and defect fixes in distributed backend applications
Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
Investigate and troubleshoot production issues related to application behavior and data processing
Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of backend services

Requirements

5+ years of professional backend software development using Java
Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
Experience with distributed or event-driven systems, including Kafka (messaging/event streaming)
Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
Strong testing fundamentals, including unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit)
Experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema changes and/or data migrations
