  • Employer-subsidized health insurance
  • Optional dental/vision/legal coverage at group rates

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Python backend API (features, integrations, bug fixes, reporting).

  • Diagnose production issues using logs, metrics, and source code.
  • Implement asynchronous/background processing (managed queues, scheduled jobs, data-processing pipelines).
  • Create internal workflow automation connecting business systems (support, shipping/logistics, quality management) via automation platforms and vendor APIs.

Growth Opportunities

  • Evaluate/customize an ERP platform and integrate with existing systems.
  • Potential front-end work on a modern JavaScript single-page application.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and supporting production web applications; experience where you personally owned a system others depended on.
  • Strong Python and experience with an API/web framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Solid SQL and relational database skills (design tables, write non-trivial queries, troubleshoot performance).
  • Experience with REST APIs and working knowledge of authentication/authorization.
  • Practical experience with automated testing.
  • Familiarity with production systems/operations (the posting cuts off after “Working familiarity with at least”).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with managed cloud databases such as AWS RDS or Cloud SQL.
