About the role
Role Overview
Join Granular Energy as a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer in a remote-first environment. You’ll develop and release backend features for Granular’s energy platform, partner with Product on feature definition, and help improve team culture and working practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy new backend functionality for the Granular Energy platform, with a focus on optimizing the matching between energy consumption and green energy production.
- Collaborate with Product to define and shape new product features with relevant organizational stakeholders.
- Improve team processes and culture by sharing best practices and helping maintain a positive working environment.
Required / Core Skills (from posting)
- Backend engineering experience working on production services.
- Hands-on experience with Python and PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying and operating services with Kubernetes.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with working in climate/energy domains (inferred from mission and product context).
