Backend Engineer - Wallets

Role overview

Build secure, scalable backend services for decentralized finance (DeFi) wallet infrastructure. You’ll work with distributed architectures and high-performance systems to support reliable user experiences for blockchain-based digital asset operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for secure wallet and digital asset operations
• Build and optimize high-performance microservices handling large-scale real-time transactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver backend solutions aligned to product needs
• Implement security best practices to protect user assets, sensitive data, and system integrity
• Contribute to architecture decisions and improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Work with databases and distributed systems for efficient storage, retrieval, and synchronization
• Troubleshoot backend performance issues and proactively identify optimization opportunities
• Stay current with emerging blockchain and backend technologies

Requirements

• Strong backend experience with Node.js and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and scalable distributed systems
• Experience building and maintaining high-availability backend platforms
• Familiarity with peer-to-peer and decentralized systems
• Proficiency with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
• Strong backend security fundamentals and secure coding practices
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills focused on performance, reliability, and scalability
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote/international teams

• Experience in Agile development environments
• Interest or experience in blockchain, fintech, or digital asset ecosystems
