About the role

Backend Engineer (Remote)

Build and scale Verita AI’s core platform and strengthen its backend services.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve backend services, APIs, databases, and system reliability
Work on scalable application architecture and high-volume platform components
Help shape the infrastructure powering a consumer platform used by thousands of experts daily
Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers supporting frontier AI development

Requirements

6+ years of backend development experience
Strong experience with Django and Node.js
Experience with distributed systems
Experience building for high-volume platforms
Strong analytical mindset and bias toward data-driven decision-making
Ability to operate in ambiguity and structure problems from scratch
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
