About the role

Backend Engineer

Join Sekoia in building and scaling the company’s cybersecurity platform. You’ll work closely with product management, frontend, and infrastructure teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver impactful features.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product management, frontend, and infrastructure teams to build the platform at scale
Tackle complex technical problems using industry best practices
Guide and support team members to promote growth and continuous learning
Drive delivery of new features for users
Contribute to code quality through good development practices and unit testing
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Apply architectural thinking in design and implementation

Requirements

5+ years of professional backend development experience (ideally in Python)
Strong autonomy in keeping up with technology standards and best practices
Backend frameworks/standards such as FastAPI and REST
Demonstrated focus on code quality and automated testing
Proficiency with modern SaaS technologies including:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Databases: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse
- Queuing: Kafka, Celery
- Caching: Redis
Strong communication skills
Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
Curiosity about new trends and technology

Nice to have

Experience in cybersecurity
Experience working with LLMs
Knowledge of the Docker/Kubernetes ecosystem

Location / Work model

Full remote (listing mentions Rennes/Paris options as well)
