Backend Engineer (React/Node.js) | Remote

Role overview

You’ll design, build, and own end-to-end fullstack systems powering core product workflows. The role combines backend/API ownership with shipping high-quality React interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end fullstack systems for core product workflows
• Architect and build clean, scalable backend services and APIs with clear contracts and ownership
• Develop frontend interfaces that are shipped directly to users
• Own data modeling and database performance (schema design, query optimization, long-term maintainability)
• Collaborate with product and design to translate ambiguous requirements into shipped systems
• Set and uphold engineering quality standards through reviews, testing, and technical leadership

Requirements

• Professional experience building and owning production fullstack systems
• Strong TypeScript experience across frontend and backend
• Solid backend expertise with Node.js, preferably NestJS
• React experience building real products
• Strong PostgreSQL skills and relational data modeling

Nice to have

• NestJS specifically (preferred)
