Join Sifflet as a Backend Engineer - Monitoring to design, implement, and scale data quality monitoring capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conceive and implement new data quality controls/checks.
- Build features that let users monitor their entire data stack effectively.
- Evolve/scale the monitoring engine to support a growing number of customers.
- Work with the broader modern data ecosystem (especially data warehouses and databases).
Requirements
- 2+ years in a backend engineering role (or equivalent). Data engineers transitioning to backend are welcome.
- General knowledge of the modern data stack, particularly data warehouses and databases.
- Willingness to learn Python if you don’t already know it.
- Strong sense of ownership (from design to production) and ability to take initiative.
Nice-to-haves / additional context
- Exposure to ML topics (even though the role is not an ML engineering position).
