Role Overview

Backend Engineer (Go or Python) — Remote

You’ll help build and scale the market data platform backend that powers major parts of a brokerage and clearing experience.

What You’ll Do

Build scalable system components and make sound trade-offs for stability and long-term maintainability
Design, write, test, and release product-facing backend features with correctness, scalability, and performance requirements
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, team productivity, and risk reduction
Support core backend services for brokerage and clearing
Collaborate closely with Product, engineering, and operational teams
Mentor junior developers and lead projects with high complexity

What You Bring

3+ years of software development experience
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and deliver large-scope technical projects
Deep understanding of backend development and systems design
Experience with Go
Familiarity with parts of a typical backend tech stack, including:
- PostgreSQL, Kubernetes (K8s), Redis, AWS (or similar)
Experience with Kafka and data streaming technologies
Experience handling and processing large volumes of data

Nice to Have

Experience in a fintech or financial firm, especially working on market data systems
