Role Overview

Remote R&D Backend Engineer (Go) at Sedbox.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs
• Build and test solutions following an agile delivery approach
• Implement microservices architectures
• Operate in a Linux environment and ensure reliable, clean code
• Create and maintain test automation and verify code before publishing
• Use Git for version control and document bugs/design decisions
• Develop and deploy containerized workloads using Kubernetes

Required Qualifications

• Strong software development fundamentals and principles
• Go (Go Lang) experience
• Database experience with SQL, NoSQL, or Firebase
• Comfortable working with RESTful API development
• Working knowledge of Git
• Comfortable operating in a Linux environment
• Ability to write clean code, document issues, and test before release
• Ability to explain design choices
• Ability to complete tasks independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, or C/C++
• Experience with other backend/frontend frameworks and UX development
• Knowledge of Google Cloud or AWS
• Big data certification
• Experience with ML or NLP tools/solutions
• Experience designing or deploying ML/NLP-enabled applications
