About the role

Role Overview

Backend Engineer (Go Lang) for Sedbox’s R&D team. You’ll build and deliver backend services that support intelligent technology projects, working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs
Develop backend services using Go and clean, well-documented code
Build and test solutions before publishing (including writing and running tests)
Operate comfortably in a Linux environment
Use Git for version control and collaboration
Work independently to complete tasks and articulate design choices
Develop and deploy services using microservices architecture
Work with containerized workloads and Kubernetes-based deployments
Create or use test automation

Requirements

Strong software development fundamentals and principles
Experience with Go
Database experience with SQL or NoSQL (or Firebase)
Working knowledge of Git
Comfortable operating in Linux
Ability to write clean code, document bugs, and test before publishing
Ability to explain design decisions
Experience building and testing in an Agile delivery process

Nice to Have

Experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, or C/C++
Familiarity with other back/frontend frameworks and UX development
Knowledge of Google Cloud or AWS
Big data certifications
Experience with ML/NLP tools or solutions
