Role Overview
Backend Engineer building and scaling backend systems for a consumer AI hardware product.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL schemas for high-scale, real-time data processing
- Build and scale AWS infrastructure for transcription and sync pipelines, including ECS, RDS, and Lambda
- Implement real-time capabilities using WebSockets
- Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions
- Ship clean, observable code in a fast-paced startup environment
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with database optimization
- Hands-on expertise with AWS and building scalable, secure cloud-native architectures
- High-ownership mindset and ability to deliver reliably in a startup
