Backend Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

Build and scale the systems powering an AI-driven consumer hardware product, including real-time transcription pipelines, intelligent APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL schemas for high-scale real-time data processing.
• Manage and scale AWS infrastructure (e.g., ECS, RDS, Lambda) for transcription and sync pipelines.
• Implement real-time capabilities using WebSockets.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong database optimization experience.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS and building scalable, secure, cloud-native architectures.
• High-ownership mindset; ability to ship clean, observable code in a fast-paced startup.

Nice to Haves

• Experience building real-time systems and transcription/sync data pipelines.
• Familiarity with productionizing APIs at scale in consumer products.
