About the role
Backend Engineer (AI Hardware)
Build and scale the systems that power an AI-driven hardware device, including real-time transcription pipelines, intelligent APIs, and robust cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL schemas for high-scale real-time data processing.
- Manage and scale AWS infrastructure for transcription and sync pipelines using ECS, RDS, and Lambda.
- Implement real-time capabilities with WebSockets.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Database optimization experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and building secure, scalable cloud-native architectures.
- High-ownership mindset with experience shipping clean, observable code in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience supporting rapidly scaling consumer products and high-throughput real-time systems.
