About the role
Backend Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)
Build and scale the systems powering a consumer AI hardware device.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL schemas for high-scale real-time data processing
- Develop and scale AWS infrastructure for transcription/sync pipelines using ECS, RDS, and Lambda
- Implement real-time capabilities using WebSockets
- Maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines with Docker and GitHub Actions
- Write clean, observable production code in a fast-paced startup environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience optimizing databases and building scalable, secure cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services
- High-ownership mindset; ability to ship and operate production systems
Nice to have
- Experience working with real-time transcription pipelines
