Role Overview

Backend Engineer for a fast-growing consumer AI startup building and scaling systems behind an AI-driven hardware device.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL schemas for high-scale real-time data processing.
• Build and scale AWS infrastructure for transcription and sync pipelines using ECS, RDS, and Lambda.
• Implement real-time capabilities with WebSockets.
• Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions.

Requirements

• 2+ years professional backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong database optimization experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and building scalable, secure cloud-native architectures.
• High-ownership mindset; shipping clean, observable code in a fast-paced startup environment.
