Role Overview
Backend Engineer for a fast-growing consumer AI startup building and scaling backend systems powering an AI-driven hardware device.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL schemas for high-scale real-time processing.
- Manage and scale AWS infrastructure for transcription and sync pipelines (e.g., ECS, RDS, Lambda).
- Implement real-time capabilities using WebSockets.
- Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions.
- Deliver clean, observable, high-ownership code in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Database optimization experience.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
