About the role

Role overview

Backend Developer to build and support cloud-based applications for a Manufacturing Execution System (42Q). You’ll design and implement reliable backend services and integration components that satisfy customer requirements across multiple manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Create new backend applications based on defined requirements.
Propose improvements to existing systems and help implement them.
Design backend features and subsystems with scaling and transaction turnaround time in mind.
Support other teams by providing APIs and developing utilities for data updates and transfers.
Develop and support enterprise-wide applications deployed to AWS.
Collaborate in a distributed, dynamic engineering environment.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience in a Linux environment using Java or C++.
Strong SQL and relational database design/coding.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field).
Minimum 7 years in analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-level systems.
Experience working with enterprise systems and database management.
US citizenship or US permanent resident required.

Nice to have

Source control: SVN/Git.
CI/CD pipeline experience.
PostgreSQL experience.
Web services experience.
Experience with AWS services.
