Role Overview

Backend Developer (Contract) — Remote

• Contract compensation: $30–$130/hour
• Commitment: 10–40 hrs/week

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize backend and frontend systems using Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for secure, efficient data exchange across distributed systems.
• Model, query, and maintain SQL databases to support high-performance, scalable applications.
• Promote clean code practices and write/maintain unit tests.
• Manage CI/CD workflows to enable continuous delivery.
• Work with Agile teams to turn requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software and system issues quickly.

Requirements
