About the role

Role Overview

Backend Developer (Python/Django) to help build and maintain Inspekt AI’s SaaS platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions with an emphasis on clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

Design backend architecture by analyzing system flows, data usage, and information needs
Plan, prioritize, and execute tasks across the software development life cycle
Build and maintain applications and APIs using clean, efficient code
Automate tasks and workflows via scripting and appropriate tooling
Review and debug code to ensure performance and code quality
Document development phases and maintain technical documentation
Monitor system performance and implement improvements
Stay current with emerging technologies to keep the platform modern and competitive

Requirements

Proven backend experience with Python and Django
Proficiency with Django Rest Framework (DRF) and class-based views (CBVs)
Familiarity with Django 4.2+
Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
Proficiency with Git
Experience building RESTful APIs and RPC services
Ability to work in large, production-grade codebases
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum (or similar methodologies)
Excellent English communication and team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Strong data structures and algorithms foundation
Foundations in linear algebra, plus statistics and probability
Experience with Python numerical/data libraries such as NumPy, Matplotlib, SciPy
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
DevOps knowledge (monitoring, deployment automation, alerting)
