Role Overview
Backend Developer (Kotlin/Java, Android APIs)
Join DataAnnotation’s coding team to help advance AI development by designing, evaluating, and explaining coding solutions used to train AI systems. Work is paid per project and can fit alongside other responsibilities or be a primary focus.
Responsibilities
- Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems, with an emphasis on Android development
- Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations
- Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity
- Provide feedback that helps shape future generations of AI models
Requirements
- Native or bilingual fluency in English
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
- Preferred: experience with Kotlin
- Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift
Nice to Have
- Prior experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer
Compensation & Logistics
- Fully remote: available to people in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand
- Flexible schedule: choose which projects to take and when to work
- Paid hourly up to $60 USD/hour (higher-paying projects may be available with strong performance)
