Backend Developer (Kotlin/Java, Android APIs)
Join DataAnnotation’s coding team to help build and improve AI systems by completing programming tasks and evaluating AI-generated code. Work is flexible and can be combined with other commitments, with paid project opportunities available after a short paid-equivalent assessment.
Responsibilities
- Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems, with emphasis on Android development
- Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations
- Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity
- Provide feedback that helps shape the next generation of AI models
Requirements
- Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
- Strong writing and grammar skills
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
- Preferred: experience with Kotlin
- Proficiency in at least one additional language/framework from:
- JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Swift
- Preferred: prior experience as a Software Developer/Coder/Software Engineer/Programmer
Compensation & logistics
- Fully remote: available to people in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand
- Flexible schedule: choose which projects you take on and when you work
- Pay: hourly, up to $60 USD/hour (higher-paying projects may be available with strong performance)
- Paid via PayPal
Assessment
