Backend Developer – Go

Role Overview

Backend Developer (Go) for a cloud-native, distributed-systems environment. You will design and build scalable backend services and APIs that power modern cloud applications, collaborating in a remote setting focused on reliability and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Go
• Build cloud-native applications, including Kubernetes controllers and automation solutions
• Develop and integrate gRPC and REST APIs with databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise systems
• Optimize performance, concurrency, scalability, and resource utilization
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, logging, and CI/CD to improve quality and delivery
• Troubleshoot complex distributed-system issues and perform debugging/performance tuning
• Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture decisions, microservices evolution, documentation, and best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering, with strong Go experience
• Hands-on experience with Go, Kubernetes, gRPC/REST, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or NATS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of backend architecture and API design for cloud-native development
• Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and improving system reliability
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes Operators, eBPF, service mesh, or security-focused Go applications
• Open-source contributions
• Experience with WASM/TinyGo
