About the role

Role overview

Backend Developer at DataAnnotation contributing to AI development by solving and evaluating coding tasks. Work is fully remote with flexible scheduling and paid hourly project work.

Responsibilities

Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems (with emphasis on Android development)
Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations
Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity
Provide feedback that directly informs the next generation of AI models

Requirements

Fluent English (native or bilingual)
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift
Preferred: experience with Kotlin
Preferred: prior experience as a Software Developer/Coder/Software Engineer/Programmer

Work model & compensation

Fully remote across the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand
Flexible schedule based on available project selection
Paid hourly, $50–$100+/hr, with higher-paying projects for strong performance
Payment via PayPal
