Role overview

Backend Developer (AI coding)

Join DataAnnotation’s coding community to help develop cutting-edge AI systems through programming tasks. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, where you choose which projects to take based on your availability.

Responsibilities

Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems, with an emphasis on Android development
Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations
Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity
Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI models

Requirements

Native or bilingual fluency in English
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress)
Preferred: previous experience as a Software Developer/Coder/Engineer/Programmer

Nice-to-haves

Kotlin experience (preferred)
Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Swift

Compensation & logistics

Fully remote (work from anywhere in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand)
Flexible schedule; paid hourly per project
Up to $60 USD/hour, with opportunities for higher-paying projects based on performance
Assessment required after account signup to access paid work (interview equivalent)
