Role Overview

Back-End Software Engineer (Remote-first)

You will develop and maintain backend systems for internal and external portals, designing APIs and helping modernize a legacy platform into a scalable, cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend systems for internal and external portals, including API design and reliability.
Collaborate with front-end teams to deliver secure, performant integrations.
Refactor and modernize legacy systems to improve scalability.
Write clean, testable code and contribute to CI/CD improvements.
Support production deployments and ongoing reliability initiatives.

Requirements

3–5 years backend engineering experience.
Experience building APIs and working with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS).
Familiarity with TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
Experience with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

Experience building data pipelines.
Comfort working in a fast-moving AI/Data-driven startup environment.
Scala proficiency.
