About the role
Role overview
Wisk.ai is hiring a Back-End Developer to design, build, and scale the backend systems and APIs powering its inventory management platform. You’ll work closely with product, front-end, and data teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing services for real-world hospitality operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs
- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems
- Work with data pipelines and storage systems
- Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
- Contribute to architectural decisions as the platform evolves
- Collaborate cross-functionally on new features, including AI-driven capabilities
- Participate in code reviews and promote best practices
Requirements
- Experience building back-end systems with a modern technology stack
- Strong API design and back-end architecture fundamentals
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with cloud-based and distributed systems
- Ability to write maintainable, well-structured, and testable code
Nice to have
- AWS production experience (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Terraform)
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience working on SaaS platforms or data-intensive applications
Remote / location
- Remote, with a requirement to work during Eastern Time business hours.
