Back End Developer

Role Overview

Backend Engineer (Node.js / TypeScript) for a remote, full-time team building infrastructure that enables AI agents to securely access and transform enterprise data locked behind authentication barriers.

Responsibilities

• Build resilient AI agents to automate complex logins (including MFA), extract unstructured data, and operate across dynamic web interfaces and legacy systems (no APIs required).
• Engineer secure foundations by implementing authentication workflows and scalable APIs for enterprise-grade access.
• Design data infrastructure using GCP-based pipelines and optimizing PostgreSQL for data integrity and performance at scale.
• Ship end-to-end systems including third-party integrations, testing suites, and observability tools focused on reliability.
• Collaborate on architecture with senior engineers and work with product teams to solve customer problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Strong Node.js / TypeScript backend proficiency.
• Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), and databases.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Haves

• Data engineering / ETL pipeline experience.
• Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, or other security protocols.
• Startup experience and/or open-source contributions.
• Monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
