Back End Developer

Role Overview

Backend Engineer (Node.js / TypeScript) — remote, full-time. Build the infrastructure that enables authenticated AI agents to securely navigate enterprise systems (including dynamic web interfaces and legacy environments) and transform unstructured data into usable intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build resilient AI agents that can automate authenticated access workflows (including MFA), extract unstructured data, and operate on environments without public APIs.
• Engineer secure foundations: implement authentication workflows across diverse platforms and provide scalable enterprise-grade APIs.
• Design data infrastructure: create GCP-based data pipelines, optimize PostgreSQL performance, and maintain data integrity at scale.
• Ship end-to-end systems: build third-party integrations, testing suites, and observability tooling for reliability.
• Collaborate strategically with senior engineers and product teams on architecture and customer-focused problem solving.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Strong backend proficiency, particularly Node.js / TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), and databases.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Haves

• Data engineering / ETL experience.
• Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, or other security protocols.
• Startup experience and/or open-source contributions.
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
