Back End Developer

Role Overview

You’ll be a Back End Developer (Backend Engineer) for a platform that helps enterprises deploy authenticated AI agents for mission-critical workflows. The focus is on building secure infrastructure so AI can navigate authenticated environments and transform unstructured data into actionable intelligence.

Mission / Responsibilities

• Build resilient AI agent backends
  • Automate complex logins including MFA
  • Extract unstructured data
  • Handle dynamic web interfaces (including environments without APIs)
• Engineer secure foundations
  • Implement authentication workflows across diverse platforms
  • Build scalable enterprise-grade APIs
• Design data infrastructure
  • Create GCP-based data pipelines
  • Optimize PostgreSQL performance
  • Ensure data integrity at scale (millions of records)
• Ship end-to-end systems
  • Develop third-party integrations
  • Build testing suites
  • Add observability for reliability
• Collaborate strategically
  • Work with senior engineers on system architecture and product teams

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years backend engineering experience shipping production systems
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend skills
• Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), and databases
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

Nice-to-Haves

• Data engineering / ETL pipeline experience
• Knowledge of OAuth and/or SAML / security protocols
• Startup experience or open-source contributions
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
