About the role
Role Overview
DataAnnotation is seeking a Back End Developer to help train and improve AI models by evaluating AI chatbot performance and logic.
Responsibilities
- Create and assign coding challenges for AI chatbots.
- Evaluate AI outputs for correctness and performance.
- Assess progress of AI models and debug/solve issues to improve model quality.
- For each coding solution, explain how it works and why it solves the problem.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python and/or JavaScript (preferred), or ability to solve coding problems using one of: JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, HTML, SQL, or Swift.
- Strong skills in algorithms, data structures, and debugging workflows.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (native or bilingual level).
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree (current, in progress, or completed) preferred but not required.
Compensation & Work Details
- Independent contract role.
- Remote: work on a schedule you choose.
- Paid hourly up to $60 USD/hour, with bonuses for high-quality and high-volume work.
- Payment via PayPal.
