About the role
Role Overview
Bright Vision Technologies is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. This is a 100% remote (Continental United States), full-time direct W2 position as part of an in-house SOW engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure architectures across compute, networking, storage, identity, and data services with focus on scalability, security, and cost.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, applying software-engineering rigor (version control, peer review).
- Configure and manage Azure landing zones and core networking (VNETs, subnets, route tables, NSGs) to enforce segmentation and least-privilege access.
- Implement secure identity and governance using Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, RBAC, and Azure Policy.
- Architect and operate AKS clusters, including node pool design, autoscaling, network policies, and integrations (e.g., with operational/observability tooling).
- Own the end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle, including automation, security hardening, cost optimization, observability, and production operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong DevOps engineering practices and ability to partner with application development, security, and SRE teams.
- Demonstrated experience with IaC and secure, compliant cloud operations.
- Must be willing to work directly as a full-time W2 employee (no C2C/1099/third-party arrangements).
- A technical coding assessment is mandatory.
Nice to Have / Additional Notes
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) operations and cluster networking.
Employment / Location
- Employment type: Full-time, direct W2
- Engagement: Long-term, multi-year aligned to the company’s SOW delivery roadmap
- Location: 100% remote for candidates in the Continental United States
- Visa: No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers welcomed for qualified candidates
- Salary: $100K – $150K base salary (commensurate with experience)
