Azure Cloud Architect

Role Overview

Cloud Architect – Azure (Contract, Remote) You will be a hands-on Azure expert owning end-to-end cloud transformation work for an enterprise modernization effort. This is a fast-start contract beginning 8/17, remote but requiring availability during EST business hours.

What You’ll Own

• Full-lifecycle Azure architecture from environment assessment through production cutover
• Azure landing zone design with governance frameworks, including:
  • Azure Policy, RBAC, tagging, and cost controls
  • subscription and management group design
• Network architecture for enterprise connectivity, including:
  • VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints
  • hybrid connectivity and DNS
• Migration strategy and execution leadership across:
  • compute, storage, database, and identity workloads
• Direct collaboration with executive stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams

What You Bring

• 7+ years hands-on Azure architecture experience with real implementation ownership
• Strong fluency in Entra ID, Azure networking, Key Vault, Azure SQL, App Services, and monitoring tools
• Ability to translate business priorities into technical roadmaps (consulting mindset)
• Availability to start 8/17

Nice to Have

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
• M&A / tenant integration experience
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric / Synapse
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills (e.g., Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps)
